Mike is the Founder and General Contractor of MGM Builders. At a young age, he learned the construction trade while working alongside his grandfather, instilling in him a love and appreciation for home building. Mike joined the U.S. Coast Guard when he was 18, and was able to study electrical sciences, diving and construction while he served. Once out of the service, he worked as an electrician at the Jay paper mill until he and his wife Anne built their first home in 1987, establishing MGM Builders. 30 years later, Mike continues to be passionate about sourcing the best materials and systems for home building, keeping quality at the forefront. He manages each project to ensure the success of every home built.
Anne is our Co-Founder and Home Design Specialist. She has been designing for MGM Builders since the beginning, and has a strong sense of spatial design. Anne is also a licensed real estate broker, with a wealth of knowledge of the market. As the Home Design Specialist, Anne helps make each home unique and functional, while fitting the style of the client.
Phil is our Renovations Manager, handling all aspects of remodeling projects. A skilled carpenter, he’s worked in the Maine residential construction industry since 1994. In that time, he has seen and done it all, from small home repairs to custom home builds. Phil holds an MBA from Husson University which allows him to have a unique perspective. His favorite part of the job is helping clients turn their house into the home of their dreams.
Irina is our Office Manager, running our administrative operations and also taking care of clients. Being able to guide clients through some of the most important processes of building a home, she finds it rewarding to see the final product and how happy the homeowners are once they move in. She has over 18 years of extensive experience with construction office coordination, and is always excited to learn something new.
Taylor is a new home Construction Manager and has been working for MGM Builders for 15 years. He followed in his father's footsteps and pursued opportunities to further his education in the building industry. Taylor attended NEIT in RI and earned an associate's degree in building construction technology. Prior to becoming a project manager he worked in the field as a carpenter. His patience, positive attitude, and communication forward management style alleviate the stress that can come with building a custom home. From initial contracts to the final punch list, Taylor will work with you to ensure the process is seamless.
Matt is our Architectural Designer taking new home and renovation projects from rough ideas to detailed construction drawings. He joined the home building industry in 2003 and has years of experience in architectural and structural design as well as hands-on field experience running his own design-build firm constructing high-performance homes. Matt’s calling is making our client's homes as functional and comfortable as they are beautiful and well built. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maine and is a Certified Passive House Consultant by the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt, Germany, a world-leading standard of building performance.
Mark is a renovations Construction Manager. Having worked in the Maine construction industry in for over 35 years, he’s done everything from commercial construction to running his own remodeling business. Working with his hands and creating something from raw materials is one of his favorites parts of the job, but he finds finishing up a project and making his customers happy the most fulfilling. Mark has an associates degree in Building Construction.
Benny is our Project Coordinator for the Renovations division, providing support for the whole renovations team. His previous work experience includes Inside Residential Sales Support and Outside Commercial Sales for a local lumber company, as well as over a decade spent on active duty in the United States Coast Guard. Outside of work, Benny serves as an Assistant Varsity Football Coach and the Head Varsity Wrestling Coach at a local high school. When he has free time, he enjoys spending it with his partner and their four children.
Danny, a new home Construction Manager, discovered his passion for carpentry at a young age. He refined his craft by obtaining an Associate's Degree in Building Construction Technology from CMCC. After working for eight years in heavy civil construction, he moved to MGM Builders. Danny has a wide range of building skills, from framing to finishing touches, and is dedicated to bringing his clients' visions to life.
Jessica, our Interior Designer, earned an Associate of Applied Science in Interior Design from Wichita State University Campus of Applied Sciences and Technology. Understanding the overwhelming nature of home remodels and new builds, she approaches each project with passion and commitment for her clients, treating it as if it were her own. She specializes in creating homes that are tailored for families and designed for everyday living. Having successfully completed over 75 homes, ranging from powder bath remodels to new construction, she is well-versed in interior design and finish selections. While Jessica knows what it takes to get the job done, she is committed to ongoing learning and skill refinement in her career.
In her free time, she enjoys being with her husband and their two sons. Their family recently relocated to Pease ANGB in New Hampshire after residing in Kansas at McConnell AFB for 12.5 years.
Matt, our new home Construction Manager, began working in the trades during his high school and college years. After attending Maine Maritime Academy for engineering, he has spent the past few years managing a diverse array of projects, ranging from small commercial jobs to high-end custom homes. Before joining us, he worked for a real estate development company, overseeing the construction of condominium developments, apartment buildings, single-family homes, and hotel renovations.
Chris serves as our renovations Construction Manager. With over ten years of experience, he has successfully led construction teams in the building of spec homes, duplexes, and condos. For the past three years, Chris has also gained valuable knowledge in the lumber sales industry, becoming well-versed in new products and standards. He is a proud veteran, having served as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army. After completing high school, he attended SMCC for Fire Science while working full-time in fire and EMS, which provides him with a unique insight into fire inspection and safety on his projects. In his spare time, Chris continues to volunteer in fire/EMS services and cherishes every moment spent with his daughter, son, and wife.
