We are honored that Houzz has chosen our Great Falls Farmhouse project to feature on the homepage of their Farmhouse tours!
Simple, clean lines were two starting points for the custom design of this modern farmhouse. Homeowners Ben and Kelley Manning had been dreaming up their new home for some time and had a clear vision for what it would look like. They planned to use materials that were genuine, things that would patina and build character over time with use. They wanted to incorporate traditional building techniques to add a rustic sense to the design, while using light colors and finishes to keep the home feeling bright and modern.
The appeal of a farmhouse style home has grown dramatically over recent years. We think it's because mixing vintage inspired materials and design with new home construction is a great way to add time-honored character. When the Lytle family came to us, they wanted a home that would feel airy and open with enough space for their two kids and two dogs, while also incorporating a timeless design reminiscent of traditional New England.
Recently we got to go back to the home we built for the Bennett family in 2015. Their custom colonial was designed to get the maximum square footage for their budget in order to accommodate their growing family, while still having a stylish home. Settled into a beautiful 5-acre wooded lot in Raymond, it’s a starter house that didn't need to sacrifice good design or functionality to stay within budget.
Our 30th year in business has been full of big changes here at MGM Builders. Exciting projects like developing the Green Acres neighborhood and adding awesome new employees to the crew have kept us busy, so it's amazing we've also found time to move the team into a new office!
