A New Home for MGM Builders

Our 30th year in business has been full of big changes here at MGM Builders. Exciting projects like developing the Green Acres neighborhood and adding awesome new employees to the crew has kept us busy, so it's amazing we've also found time to move the team into a new office!

We've transitioned into a freshly renovated space in the Shops at Sebago Plaza in Windham, only a few storefronts down from the office we used to share with Northstar Mortgage. Previously home to a bakery, we had a lot of work to do to make it a place that would be welcoming and functional. New walls were built to divide the space into work areas, we added some windows and installed new doors, but after the basics were finished we just had to add a few custom MGM touches to make it feel more like home.

Custom Details for our New Home

Our Home Design Specialist, Anne, designed a wall of built-in cabinets and shelves to hold our printers and to use as a storage area. An added shiplap detail was stained to match our reclaimed pine desks and has our mission statement written on the top. All the doors and windows are trimmed with one of our favorite styles of trim, shaker with simple crown moulding. We also designed and built a beautiful rustic sliding barn door to separate our back offices from our meeting area.

The original blueprints of the first MGM house built in 1987 hang above the sitting area.

White shaker style Cabico cabinets were installed in the kitchen with pewter hardware and a quartz countertop. For the workstations, we choose a gray finish with heirloom silver hardware and a piece of marble for the desktops. Repose Gray from Sherwin Williams covers the walls and a Benjamin Moore white paint for the trim.

The MGM Team Consensus

We love how it came out and now have plenty of room to house our growing team! Come by sometime to see what we have going on at our new space, or even to just say hello. We think we've really made this place feel cozy like home.
